Description

Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919) was one of the wealthiest self-made billionaires during the Gilded Age. He built Pittsburgh’s Carnegie Steel Company which later became U.S. Steel. Carnegie was a leading philanthropist in the U.S. donating approximately 90 percent of his fortune, $350 million, to charities, universities and foundations at the end of his life. Historian Jim Gibbons will present the life of Mr. Carnegie. Registration is suggested. Registration is Required.
