Presented by: Pier Rogers, PhD, Director, Axelson Center for Nonprofit Management
*Rescheduled event from original date of November 30th*

Eager to find a job that matters? It might be a good time to explore nonprofit employment opportunities. Nonprofit organizations form the third largest private employment sector in the United States, numbering over one million. These organizations have a large variety of missions, goals and services, so no matter what kind of experience you have, there is likely a nonprofit that would be perfect for you.
Nonprofit organizations thirst for talented individuals that share a passion for its cause and that are capable of advancing its mission. Join this session to learn:

  • An overview of Illinois’/Chicago’s nonprofit sector
  • Trends in the current nonprofit job market
  • Best practices when conducting a nonprofit job search
  • Helpful networking ideas
  • Common misconceptions about nonprofits
