Illinois is turning 200! The Symphony celebrates the bicentennial with music by Illinois composers Jim Stephenson, Augusta Read-Thomas, Stacy Garrop, and our own executive director Timothy Corpus. The concert opens with Bernstein's famous Overture to Candide, concertmaster Netanel Draiblate performs Stephenson's popular violin concerto - Tributes, and the concert concludes with Debussy's monumental impressionistic work, La Mer.
