Leadership & Language: Effective Writ...

Description

On Thursday, October 27th, The Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and The Charmm’d Foundation will host a FREE community workshop in Lake Forest from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. Join us for an afternoon of conversation around Effective Written Communication Skills and walk away with valuable information to use immediately.

Steven Schultz, Ph.D. has provided training in communications and leadership, along with editing and writing services, to business professionals and educators for 30 years. Imagine building written communication and critical thinking skills, eliminating obstacles to clear expression, choosing language to convey direct, unambiguous meaning, reviewing the do’s and don’ts of email and developing a positive, culture-enhancing writing style.

This is a special program open to people who live, work and play in Lake Bluff, Lake Forest, Knollwood, Beach Park, Wadsworth, Winthrop Harbor, Zion, Glencoe, Northfield, Wilmette, Kenilworth, and Winnetka. To register for this event, send an email to susan@tbgfoundations.org along with your contact information.

After the workshop, continue to build your repertoire of techniques to improve communication skills. The Charmm’d Foundation invites you to visit their website at http://www.charmmdfoundation.org/Resources.html  where they offer additional FREE resources in ten key skill-building categories to help you succeed. Consider posting any of their resources in your newsletter or on your website to share with co-workers, family, and friends. There is no need to ask for permission to use these resources, as permission has been granted from the Foundation.

Created in 2005, The Charmm’d Foundation provides resources for individuals to help develop themselves personally and professionally and in turn, build a stronger community.
