The Knauz Autopark Picnic in the Park presents the Knauz MINI Summer Concert Series!
Jam with 102.3 XLC and local bands every month this summer. Bring your friends, family, and lawn chairs for an afternoon of live music. Admission is free. Our radio guests will be here from 10AM-Noon. The bands will play from Noon-3PM Get ready to rock with a band that lays down the funkiest dance groove in the Chicago area!!! Special Purpose Band is a band of four seasoned musicians who play a range of dance music from Motown, Rhythm & Blues, Rock, Funk, Blues and Jazz. Special purpose delivers stellar musicianship, outstanding lead vocals and tight vocal harmonies. Special Purpose is Darryl Armistead on lead vocals and keyboards, Sonja Hicks on lead vocals, Tom Witte on lead vocals and guitar, Tim Jones on lead vocals and electric bass, and Andy Soderstrom on drums.
