About Us

The Lake County Symphony Orchestra (LCSO) is a 501(c)(3) charitable arts nonprofit serving Northern Illinois and Southern Wisconsin. Founded in 2004 as the FullScore Chamber Orchestra, LCSO has grown into a regional professional ensemble committed to accessible, inspiring orchestral music.

We present five to six concerts per season, drawing on a diverse repertoire that spans classical masterworks, pop/film favorites, and innovative thematic programs. We perform at the James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts (College of Lake County, Grayslake) and at The Barn in Hawthorn Woods.

Driven by a mission to deliver high-quality, educational, and audience-friendly performances. LCSO strives to foster lifelong appreciation for symphonic music through thoughtful programming, local collaborations, and outreach.

Under new leadership as of August 2025, LCSO is energized by renewed vision, diligent administration, and a dedication to meaningful community impact. We are rebuilding trust, reinforcing community partnerships, and looking forward to a future of greater inclusivity, sponsorship, and artistic growth.
